Interest Only Loans

QUESTION:
What is an 'interest only' loan?

ANSWER:
A loan where you pay interest only on the amount borrowed over a fixed period of time. At the end of this fixed period, the loan becomes due and payable (i.e. baloons) or converts to an adjustable rate loan for its remaining life.
